University of Baltimore: "Spotlight UB" The University of Baltimore celebrated “Spotlight UB,” with a week-long series of events from April 17 to 22, including the official dedication of its new Student Center and a fund-raising concert by the world-renowned Beaux Arts Trio chamber music group. Image Engineering provided the special effects to kick off the event with a series of image projections, Space Cannon searchlights, and lighting effects. The new student center at the University of Baltimore opened April 17, 2006. The result of decades of feasibility studies, student surveys, and needs assessments, the student center will serve as a central gathering place for students, faculty and staff.









Two Pani BP6 Gold large format projectors and a Griven Pro-Motion 1200 created the imagery on the Lyric, the new Student Center, and the Academic Building surrounding Gordon Plaza. Projections and effects including specialty lighting and IREOS 7K searchlights were added in stages to build excitement leading up to the event.
