commonly recognize "scanning" or xy scans are the
expected laser light show. In the early 70's rock groups added
laser scan technology to their shows to draw the audience into
the show presentation and allow them to visualize the music
being played. Today, Image Engineering ® utilizes
scans in virtually every laser display type. From corporate
presentations and theater perfomances to grand outdoor displays
the medium continues to reach out over audiences and capture
their excitement.
Nightclubs use scans as another
aspect of their lighting installations. In Europe, where restrictions
and sentiments toward audience scanning are more congenial,
laser scans pass through the clientele on the dance floors enveloping
them in dimensional light.
